The Human Resource Department (HR) deals with management of people within the organization and is responsible for hiring employees which involves attracting employees, keeping them in their positions and ensuring they perform to expectation. The HR Department also sets day to day and long-term goals for the people in the organization.

Recruitment is structured and based on our needs and opportunities are offered to the general public by way of advertising in the news papers, Top Jobs Website, employee referrals, hiring from Universities , Reputed Professional Institutes & Job Agencies. Training and career development programmes are organized for different levels of employees internally as well as externally based on identified needs.

People are motivated to higher levels of job performance by positive recognition from their managers and peers . Creative use of monetary and non-monetary rewards are given to the employees in order to reinforce positive behaviors and improve employee retention and performance. CEAT Sri Lanka has partnered with CEAT India to launch the "EMPOWER" & "EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT" Surveys. EMPOWER is an online manager feedback forum that allows measuring the degree to which all CEAT managers display managerial behaviors. EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT conducted annually to assess the satisfaction levels of employees by soliciting the employees opinion on various issues of concern related to the job and the organization.

CEAT creates a happy, safe and healthy environment for the workforce by provision of adequate welfare arrangements such as working environment, welfare facilities, workplace safety and good housekeeping. Since the Company cares for people, CEAT has always engaged in prevention of accidents, minimizing risks and reducing hazards, , conducting annual safety audits by the Labour Department, conducting 5S audits and awareness-training-programmes for employees.

 
CAREERS
CEAT Sri Lanka has a performance driven culture and employees are appraised annually to assess the progress made against the BBSC/KRA which are set at the beginning of the financial year and evaluated at the end of the financial year.
